Hi! I’m Starla, owner, founder, and esthetician at Star Faced.
The best conversations usually start with skin. Not because it’s all I think about (although… close ;), but because skin has a way of revealing so much more than what’s happening on the surface. I’ve spent the last decade studying it, treating it, questioning it, and constantly learning from it. One thing I’ve learned is that the more you understand skin, the more you realize there’s always more to learn. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to have an esthetician who genuinely can’t stop thinking about skin… you’ve found her.
I opened Star Faced in 2020 with the hope of creating something that felt different. Not just another facial studio, but a place where skincare feels thoughtful, beautiful, and a little less intimidating. Where education is just as important as treatment, every recommendation has a purpose, and every client feels seen. My clients and their skin health are truly the stars of the show here at Star Faced, and I adore every single one of them.
Outside of the treatment room, I’m usually doing something skin-related: writing client guides, researching ingredients, building routines, testing products, or continuing my education. I also love creating editorials, campaigns, and photoshoots inspired by skincare, but influenced by film, art, fashion, design, and all the strange little details most people overlook.
I’ve always believed learning doesn’t have to feel clinical. Sometimes the best way to understand something is to experience it, see it from a different perspective, or simply romanticize it a little.
To me, skincare has never been about chasing perfection. The most beautiful skin I’ve ever seen has never been the most perfect. It’s the skin that’s cared for, intentionally.
My goal is for you to leave with healthier skin, but just as importantly, a deeper understanding of it. Because when you know why you’re doing something, your routine becomes less about chasing perfection and more about feeling confident in the way you care for yourself.
