Ingredient Scan.

This ingredient checker is exactly that — a tool.

Acne is complex, and no ingredient checker can tell you whether a product will or won’t break you out. Formulation matters, concentration matters, and every person’s skin is different. So why do I still use one?

Because skin changes.

Maybe you’re actively trying to clear acne. Maybe you’ve been clear for years and suddenly started breaking out after introducing something new. Maybe you switched foundations, hair products, sunscreen, or skincare and you’re trying to narrow down what changed. That’s where this tool becomes helpful.

Acne is already a puzzle. An ingredient checker won’t solve it, but it can help reduce unnecessary variables and point you toward potential clues while you figure out what your skin does and doesn’t like. Use it as a guide, not a verdict x

Where a matched ingredient shows a 0–5 rating, this is the scale it comes from. The scale isn’t standardized across sources, so a number and severity appear only where a traceable published rating exists — an ingredient without one isn’t safer, it just doesn’t have reliable data.
