a multitasking exfoliating serum for breakouts, congestion, uneven texture + the discoloration acne can leave behind. mandelic acid is an AHA with a larger molecular structure than acids like glycolic, which means it penetrates the skin more gradually + can be a really useful option when we want effective exfoliation with a more measured approach. vivant pairs it with lactic acid for additional surface exfoliation, niacinamide to support more even-looking tone + inositol for hydration + skin conditioning.

and this particular 8% serum is pretty much my perfect mandelic acid. i rarely feel the need to reach for another percentage or another formula. it’s effective enough to do real work, but i find it remarkably gentle + easy for a lot of different skin types to tolerate. of course, it’s still an active acid + any exfoliant has the potential to cause irritation, but there’s something about this formula that just feels incredibly well balanced to me. one of my forever products, thank you vivant <3
